  • Keep it organized: Color code your wires and keep the method consistent. Keep cables managed, tidy, and out of the way of moving mechanisms and vulnerable parts of the robot. Leave some slack when wiring. Taut wires may pull out or break when the robot got hit hard. We learned this the hard way because it cost us a few matches when our robot got hit hard and the Ethernet Switch power plug got partially pulled out and it lost power as a result.
